Received my 2012 Mini from Apple the other day.

The first issue was I ordered it with Pages. When I went to run pages it said there was an update, but would not run the update as "Pages was purchased with a different Apple ID"

Next problem is the hard drive is reporting that it is only 34 gb in size, yet disk utility says that it is 1.15 tb. (it is fusion drive).

After talking with Apple Care and working on this for two days I now have an appointment with the Genius Bar. Sure wish they served Whiskey at the bar.

A bit disappointing to have these issues on a BTO computer. Now I have to haul out the old G5 quad...

Definitely not impressed so far. Though Apple Care has been great.

Made an appointment with Genius. The resolution as a complete reinstall of OSX. The issue where the Fusion drive is reporting a size of 34gig is known. They figure it is a problem with one of the disk images used in China when the unit was assembled.

The 34GB thing has already been covered here in several threads. It indeed is a problem during installation. Drive is physically OK, at least in all cases I've read about. (That's good I guess, although new machines should definitely be sent in prestine condition…)
