Hi,

i noticed a strange graphics problem on my Intel IMac 20" with an ATI X1600 256 in XP.
When displaying a gradient from black to white it shows some strange banding effects. The gradient looks fine in OS X.
Here's a photo of the effect. I have bpp set to 32.

If i do a screen capture the colour values are there so it has to do with the display or the graphics card.

Has anybody else encountered this problem when running XP with boot camp?
It would be nice if someone could check on their Mac if this gradient is shown properly on XP.

So it seems i'm the only poor sucker with this problem :(

It would really help me if someone else with an 20" iMac running XP could tell me if he sees the problem or not.

If there are other people i could still have hope that Apple fixes this problem someday.

Yes man!

Cool the latest EFI firmware update solved my gradient problem. :D

Ah i feel much better now.

So bootcamp works pretty flawless now for me on my iMac.
