Bands causing tiny chips on the SG AW4?

Hi guys I’ve owned a S3 before and now a S4. I’ve never really used metal bands only silicone ones but I’ve noticed tiny chips of paint coming off along the ridges of the channel in which the band slides in? They are tiny chips. I have them on both my S3 and S4.

I do have leather bands with metal ends. These are tiny chips that look like dust but aren't.

Anyone have a similar experience?

I just looked & I can kinda see it. You almost have to see it under a microscope. I can't see it with my contacts in.
