So I have my Mac Pro with both Windows and MacOS setup... on the Windows side I'm getting about 8 - 9mbps (which is great) and on the mac side I'm getting around 2.5-3 mbps.
I have a Router off my Cable modem which my computer is hardwired to. Since the hardware is the same on both OS's, it must be something in the MacOS thats taking a huge hit on my bandwidth.
Any suggestions? I've tried running a few of those OS tweak programs that supposedly give you higher throughput. Didn't seem to do a thing.
Help me understand why this is happeneing please!!! I was always under the impression the Mac was very efficient as far as internet connectivity.
Thanks!

p.s. I even went so far as to reinstall the MacOS the other day and that didn't do anything at all
