Would anyone know of a free app. that would monitor my Bandwidth, speed , etc.

Applications / Utilities / Activity Monitor > Netwok (tab on the bottom)
iStat Pro (Dashboard widget)
Menu Meters (Menu Bar item)

Or are you looking for something more advanced?

What more advanced features are you looking for? (I.e., what don't those provide that you'd like/need to have?)

"Free" and "more advanced" are often incompatible...but what about Network Utility? Why didn't that meet your needs?

One of the best tools out there for general internet connection monitoring is IPNetMonitor, but it isn't free.
