Lol, ...the reason I am now posting here is I am no longer "allowed to create or edit content" on the official Apple boards. I SWEAR on my children's lives, all I said was I've had more trouble with ios 8 than I've ever had with any other ios in the 7 years I've had an iphone. The statement was within the context of a legitimate question and had no foul language, no "ranting" - none of the above. THEY FRICKIN BANNED ME!! Can you believe that? OMG, how sensitive and fragile are these people? Good lord !! Sorry if this is not the right forum but I had to get this off my chest. Unbelievable!

They ban people here too so my advice is to just take a quick look at the rules if you plan on staying. And welcome.
I left a long time ago. But not surprising as part of the dutys of the mods there is censorship. You can have a problem, but if that problem can be proven to be Apple's fault then your posts will dissappear. The 17" PowerBook G4 within a certain serial range once had an LCD issue. It was Apple's fault. They wiped every post discussing it from the forums there. Users had to create an entirely new website that Apple did not control so that the subject was not buried.
If you are not in the pantheon of "respected" users then your opinion and help is worth nothing. I was once accused of knowing nothing about PowerBooks, despite the fact that I own two 17" PB G4s, my wife has a 12" PB and my son has a 15" Titanium DVI. AND, I've done major work in each one of those Macs! LCD replacements, logicboard replacements, and a bunch of other stuff.
But because I was insufficiently Apple-centric I guess (Apple does nothing wrong you know) I was chastised and then ignored.
This is the same reason I never go to the Adobe forums either. Mention QuarkXPress in the Adobe forums and holy hell breaks forth and you are the target.
Some people are religious about the products they use. Just like many religious people,they get upset when you question their beliefs.
Or, you know, if you are there simply to troll (not saying that any of you did that), then you'll be banned very quickly. As you would on any large forum. Good mods don't have time for that.

I can understand if someone is ranting, or starting fights with others or just being obviously negative for no reason, but all I said was I was having a lot of trouble with ios8. In any case, it seems like I'm allowed back on now so maybe it was a temporary thing.
I still plan on asking questions in this forum because I know there is a TON of knowledge here. Take care and Happy belated Thanksgiving.
