Since upgrading to iPadOS 15 on my iPad, whenever I have a Bluetooth keyboard connected to the iPad, there is a bar that floats on the screen, and can get in front of what i am typing. I’m attaching a screenshot that shows how it is now: you can see that it block the area to enter Tags. You can actually type in there, but it’s covered.

I can’t find any place in the Settings to turn it off. I checked with Support and this does not appear to be an iOS 15 feature, even though it began after the update. So what’s going on? Is anyone else seeing this?

This is annoying me as well… I’m using the Smart Keyboard and whilst you can minimise the floating window, it typically gets in the way of what you’re typing and generally gets in the way, I preferred how they did it before, it would be nice if they could have an option where the floating window is minimised as default…

I am using the Magic Keyboard, and I hate the floating panel. You can disable suggestions to make it smaller, but it‘s still obstructive.

I updated to iPadOS 15.1 and the issue remains. Apparently Apple thinks this is how it's supposed to work.

The minimized bar gets in the way multiple times a day. I’m constantly having to push it from corner to corner in order to access elements behind it.
