This was supposed to be up and running on March 27th in the UK. I have tried to set it up today (been away working for a few weeks) and it tells me that barclays do not yet support this service? WTH?

Are there any other UK Barclays users still unable to use Apple pay yet?

Many thanks.

Ok, walked into my local Barclays branch today and asked for confirmation re AP and basic account holders, re moi.

They confirmed that the basic cash card account is not supported by AP! but customers with a basic account can have a contactless debit card!! I put it to them; what's the difference? AP with a transaction limit of £20, or a contactless debit card with transaction limit of £20? They didn't know or knew why I could have one but not the other!

Just doesn't make sense to me.

ApplePay in the UK isn't limited to £30 (it's up from £20 a few months ago). The store, however, probably will set a defacto limit of £30 to match contactless cards but some stores (Apple is one of course) you can use your ApplePay for any amount.
