Hi All,

I just finished using Dayo's wonderful Bare Metal Windows Installation tutorial, and everything runs great - except there's no sound. Windows seems to have all the sound settings right, nothing is muted and my speakers are on, but still nothing. Tried the latest Realtek drivers, but the installer says there aren't any compatible ones to install. Could just be a setting I'm not seeing, but otherwise I'm not sure what to do now.

And my RX580's fans go crazy when launching a game....

Not sure what the problem is for the sound. But can you just use the RX580's HDMI / DP to output sound? That usually easily, and works in all OS.

For the RX580's fan. If spin up when launching games, be careful if the cooling system (e.g. thermal paste) is failing.

I managed to fix the sound issue (installed Realtek Boot Camp drivers), but the fan issue continues. The RX580 works fine on the Mac side with games, just not in Windows.

Did you install the Radeon Software yet?

You should able to see all detail parameters in Radeon Software. You can also turn on overlay, so that you can see the parameters inside the game.

I looked on AMD's site and installed Adrenalin Edition drivers, but does that app detect fan issues?

Ok, I thought I had tried this card with Mac games already, but apparently not. Does the same thing. Fans won't stop unless I restart.
