I am a PC user, and am very interested in trying to write IOS apps. I have read about Hackintosh, and DragonFireSDK and things like that, but I feel like the best option for me is to pick up a Mac Mini. I am a college student, so I want to spend the least amount of money possible. I have seem mini's on craigslist often in the $200-300 range, and was wondering if any this cheap would fit my needs. I know Xcode requires an Intel processor, but is the first mac mini that had a Intel processor going to fit my needs?

Bare minimum Mac Mini for Xcode?

I'd go for at least a Core2Duo 2.0Ghz processor minimum. Otherwise you'll be limited by new OS restrictions.
Go for the 2009 mini. They're still great machines that will have software support going forward.
For a bit more you can get a brand new Refurb'd mini with warranty.
