iPhone Barrel Lag on iPhone 4

So I've noticed that on the iPhone 4, barrel tends to lag between spotlight and the home page when using the curl and roll away option and the variations of it like merry go round. This lag isn't present with the simpler animations like cube or page fade but it is for the icons that "spin". The curl and roll away animation along with its variations don't lag on the iPhone 4S but strangely enough they don't lag on the ipod touch 2G either. Anyone have an explanation for why is this? And is there a fix? It's just a small issue that bugs me for some reason. Lol.

Btw I'm on ios 5.1.1 without winter board if that's relevant.
The iPod touch 2G was on iOS 4
 
Depends on how may tweaks you have installed on the IP4, the A4 processor is strained to the max with many tweaks.

Maybe on the 2G less tweaks and a better support on iOS4.

The 4S with the A5 processor can cope better.
