Hi! I have a base iMac 27" 2017 with 16GB RAM and I'd like to upgrade it somehow. But I'm not that into hardware, so I don't know what gives me the biggest improvement in my work. I hope that you'll help me :)
I'm mostly using FCPX (most of cases Full HD, but sometimes 4K too) and Lightroom. I'm thinking about change fusion drive and here is my question - It's better to buy 1TB SSD Sata (860 Evo or MX500) and small (128GB or 256GB) NVME with Sintech adapter or buy only NVME (bigger) and leave 1TB HDD? Or maybe buy 1TB Sata SSD and upgrade CPU to i7-7700K? I can't afford all of this upgrades right now, so I need to choose.

I think I will go with 1TB SATA SSD (Samsung 860 or cruacial mx500) and 500gb NVMe (Samsung 970). And maybe later this year I will try to upgrade CPU.

I have a 2TB Crucial MX500 in my PS4 Pro - great drive. Anyway, I think you'll love the upgrades!
