I've recently swapped my 2010 Mac mini for a Base 2.3 i5 Mac mini but I've noticed that the image on my HDTV seems to be strangely grainy and less sharp than with my previous Mac mini.

I was wondering whether anyone else had experienced this and whether it's a result of the HD3000 integrated graphics.

I have a relatively modern 40" 1080p Sony TV and I really feel that the image used to be much sharper with the 2010 Mac mini. I'm therefore curious to find out whether anyone else has this problem.

Agree with the above poster, it's likely a cable, maybe even just not seated properly.

Also, double check your monitor prefs. Make sure your output is 1080p and check your TV's settings as well. My Sony Bravia seems to revert to random settings when I attach new devices.

Thanks for the advice. Will try that and report back with the results.
