Basemark GPU on M1 Pro

Hi!

Are you able to complete Basemark GPU 1.2.1. on M1 11.0.1 in High mode?

Medium mode completes fine on my M1 Pro, however High hangs/crashes.

Any other benchmarks run fine.

It''s an x86_64 binary runs via rosetta, I guess the crash is due to some optimization code for x86 but breaks rosetta.

Which M1 machine is it?

Is it on 11.0.1?

I was wondering a bit cause Anantech seemed to be able to complete the test. However, that was on MM: https://www.anandtech.com/show/16252/mac-mini-apple-m1-tested/3

P.S. And not sure how did they switched between Rosetta / M1...?

MacBook Pro M1 16GB on 11.0.1.
At the time of my test there was no native M1 version of Basemark GPU. Did that change?

I think I found the issue. I tried to run the app in windowed mode and noticed that right before freezing it gives a message ‘out of application memory’. That is probably the reason you were able to complete it with 16GB.

My medium score does not say ‘Rosetta 2’ under the score as in your screenshot as well.

Can anyone with 8GB run it?

P.S..Still do not get how they were able to run the app in 2 modes if it is Intel only...
