I have used the BaseQi Aluminum microSD Adapter for my M1 MBP 14" for several years and now I've upgraded to the M4 version. However, I cannot eject the BaseQi Aluminum microSD Adapter. It's stuck in there and won't come out. Was there something different about the Apple specs from M1 to M4 SD Card slot? My adapter is not coming out!

Let me guess, you got the 420A model. They made them just a tad thicker – they get stuck and can no longer be removed, and if you try too hard you’ll break it :( Take a look at the critical reviews… https://www.amazon.com/product-revi...cal&pageNumber=1&mediaType=media_reviews_only

The ‘old’ 303A model has now been updated with new packaging stating it’s perfect for the Mx series – it was originally produced for, I think, 2015 MBPs, but it fits. Mind, I inserted mine and never tried to take it out. I bought it at another forum member’s recommendation. It doesn’t support UHS-II speeds, but then I failed to even find any UHS-II microSD cards anyway.

Thanks for this info. I was still using the same 303A model from my MBP M1, so IMHO, it was Apple that made the slot thinner! I'm still working to get it out. The outer tab disconnected from the unit, so I'm screwed!

I always had to use a tool to wiggle the BaseQi adapter out of my MBP. A spudger like what you find in an iFixit kit usually worked just fine.

Note to self: don’t try to pull mine out, ever 😬 (it serves as extra storage for the iTunes library etc. without the Apple tax, so I don’t intend to replace the card unless it – knock on wood – breaks)

Have you managed to remove the adapter? *fingers crossed*
