I've been increasingly interested in the notion of jailbreaking my 3gs, however I'm having trouble looking up basic information related to doing it. I could not find any sort of FAQ, so please link one if I have missed it. I just have a few questions before I decide to actually jailbreak my phone.

1.) I bought applecare for my iphone. What will happen if it's jailbroken? Was it a waste of money, or if I need it to be looked at can I simply restore it back to it's original firmware (not jailbroken) without having the apple people ever know it was jailbroken?

2.) All of my phone numbers, and apps I purchased legitimately... Will they be lost when I jailbreak the phone?

3.) What is the most common/normal way to jailbreak the 3gs (is the 'Pwnage Guide' sticky up-to-date and what everyone is using currently?

4.) How much trouble is it to jailbreak, and is it common to endure problems/bugs (overheating, no service, low battery life)?

1.) just restore and you are set

2.) no, they will work fine.

3.) Redsn0w

4.) takes 15 mins tops, and redsn0w walks you through the whole process. very easy and completely reversible.
