Hi,

1. I've searched in Preferences and Help, but can't find the answer- how do I stop the "Internet Connect" window from popping up in Safari, the one which asks if I want to Disconnect or Stay Connected?

2. Also, I've noticed a real slowdown in Safari. The first week it was positively zooming, but now in the 2nd week I'm often waiting (albeit just seconds) while pages load. Is there any explanation for this? Anything I can do to speed things back up? I only have 512 ram and will upgrade soon, but in the meantime I'm just wondering why it would be so fast initially then slow down so significantly.

Thanks,

K

1) System Preferences -> Network -> Show: Internal Modem -> PPP -> PPP Options -> Uncheck "Prompt every x minutes to maintain connection

2) Dunno.

Thanks for the help, reh and munkle. I unchecked the "Prompt" option and emptied the cache. Still kind of slow, but at least that pop-up window is taken care of.

Cheers,

K

Hi mad jew,

Thanks for the suggestion. I just dumped the icons and things seem to be faster. Much appreciated.
