iPod bass?

hey guys. I am going to have a party at my house and use my iTunes library for the music. Is there a way to increase the bass? I just got a new speaker set and they give me a lot of bass but more is always better. Is there a setting where I can add bass?
 
Did you play around with the equalizer settings (Option-Command-2)?
