A client sent me several thousand graphics in Illustrator format, none of which displays thumbnails in the Finder. Is there any way to generate thumbnails for all of them so I can pick out the ones I need without having to open every single one every single time I need a graphic?

When I upgraded to Snow Leopard my Ai files all got preview thumbnails. I guess your not running snow leopard?
As far as i know there isn't a way to preview thumbnails of Ai files in previous versions of OSX, but I could well be wrong.

Ah, great idea. I don't usually use Bridge (although I have it), but I'll give that a shot -- thanks.
There was a post similar to this a while back that linked to a QuickLook plugin that displayed .ai and .eps files in Finder. It is a tad slow to render, but it works. It works fine under SL.

That's odd. I use a G5 with CS2 at work and Bridge shows .ai file thumbnails (and faster than I'd expect too).
