The Air uses the pull adhesive tape to make battery removable easier, does anyone know if the M1 Pro is using this instead of our needing acetone or adhesive softener like the current Pros.

I think MBP is just like before. Check Ifixit teardown to confirm that.

It's the same as the previous (Intel) generation.
Correct. I don't think "insides" in M1's have changed at all besides the new mobo with M1 CPU. They are built around the previous gen chassis otherwise. Just check iFixit teardowns, you see they are identical otherwise to previous Intel versions.
