Hi All,

I've been very tempted to get the 11.6 MacBook Air (only downside is the battery life for me)

Anyway, on a normal day to day use, would it be detrimental to the battery life if I kept the power cable plugged in all the time and only removing it when I'm going out etc?

Or should I charge it full overnight, use it till the juice has about run out then charge it again?

Thanks All!

Its fine to keep it plugged in most of the time. I have run myne like that for a few years now. I'd say every 2-3 days I end up using 75% of the battery while out, and my system has never lost more then 4% total capacity, which is pretty good. I would use much of the battery capacity every week just to cycle it, but other then that its fine.

Ohok. That sounds good then. Thanks so much for your response.

Incidently, to those that have an actual unit, when I tried removing the power plug, battery always shows 4 hours remaining (11.6 basic unit). Bluetooth off, only wifi, browsing, and iTunes. Screen brightness set to around 50% :S

It normally is best to do a battery gauge calibration procedure (search apple support to find it), it will make sure your gauge is right. But remember that your gauge will fluctuate quite quickly depending on the current system usage, so it won't always say 5+ hours.
