Due to some (minor) trouble with the running system i recently upgraded from Mavericks to Sierra. But as I wasn't really happy with the changes in the os and the still occurring software problem (md worker, quick look, spotlight) i decided to downgrade by using an old time machine backup.
Ever since the downgrade my fans are constanty running. So much so that I fear that my Macbook will take off any second! It is really loud and sooo annoying! Also, and maybe because of the fans, my battery life is down to less than 1,5 h!!!
When I first upgraded to Sierra the fans would randomly turn on and stay on for quite some time, but as others reported that problem, although annoying, I didn't think much of it. The battery would actually last about two hours longer than under Mavericks (5h).
I did all the usual work up.
SMC and Pram reset.
No browser as culprit and so on.
I cleaned up the hardware.
CPU is really high though.
Not that I'm much of an expert, but I'm at a complete loss as what's going on and how to fix it. Can someone help please?
