Odd question.
Not really a problem, just something i've noticed.

If, as i do everyday, put my powerbook to sleep, then unplug it, when i wake it up it's always at 94 percent battery charge.
And i know that if its above 94 it won't recharge up to 100%

So..is there any reason why it automatically loses 6% charge no matter how short a time its out for?

I think it's probably a coincidence. FWIW, it will lose power from two main sources - the fans (if it was hot when you put it to sleep, these will stop eventually though) and powering the RAM (constant), neither of which use all that much. :)

In your head.
Some USB devices also will drain the battery when it's sleeping. I charge my phone from my computer, and I can do that while I am traveling if my phone is out of juce. As far as chageing, the battery waffles between dischargeing slightly ~4-6% and chargeing back to 100%.
