My iPhone XS Max has a battery issue apparently. The device is turning off with 13% even with performance management enabled (the system has activated it automatically) and 90% maximum capacity on health state. I noticed the problem after the last update for iOS 14 and I’m not sure if it occurred before (it’s possible).

Could it be a software bug? Did someone notice the same? What do you recommend? Call Apple or try an iOS restore?

Its gotta be iOS 14 bugs. My iPhone 7 was burning hot to the touch after being plugged in all night for 8+ hours. I immediately downgraded back to 13.7. I’d wait to update to 14 until at the very least 14.2. It’s just not worth it. I’ve been burned with way too many .0 updates now.

If performance management has been enabled by the system then it sounds like there might be an issue with the battery itself.

I guess so. But I’ve just called Apple and talked to a man from advanced support who made several tests remotely and concluded that battery is well . It is providing maximum capacity apparently and has only 233 cycles of full charging up to now.

He ask me for waiting. He’s gonna talk to engineer section for more information and call me back on Thursday.

I’m really intrigued.
