New rMB 2017 with 5 load cycles and battery capacity has already dropped to 96%
My experience with MBPs in the past has been a 100% plus capacity and only dropping to 98% or below when more than 100 or so load cycles have registered.

Is this normal behaviour for the rMB? Any other data points?

I have i5/512 with 8 cycles. Dipped from over 100 to 95 and now its at 96,4. Did some googling and it appears that the figure could be jumping up and down within few percents. Perhaps we shouldn't be eyeballing ne figure too much. As it seems that the battery is lasting with Safari and some word processing up to 10 hours anyways and that's the only figure I care about.

I am not overly worried as the battery does seem to last well. It's just different figures being reported than I would expect given previous MacBooks Pros I have owned

I'm at 82% capacity with only 128 cycles on the battery. Full charge capacity is 4355 mAh...Early 2015 MacBook. I feel that its a bit premature to be that low but I hear its a problem with early MacBooks.

Get a load of this...

New 2017 i7/16/512 arrived yesterday. Noticed immediately that it wouldn't charge above 87%. Let battery drop to zero and sleep. When I tried to recharge again this evening, it stops charging once it gets to 87%.

Even with the charger plugged in, once it gets to 87%, the battery begins to discharge.

P.O.S. o_O

Same here. I have tried that, nothing. I would take my MacBook in, however, I'm an idiot and forgot to buy AppleCare and am now up a creek...
