I got my iPad Pro 10.5 at launch and according to my MacBook app which detects battery life and etc also tells me my iOS devices battery life as well and says it has 25 cycles and 96% capacity. Is that where it should be?

There are already lots of threads about iPad Pro 10.5 battery capacity here and on other sites. It seems common that the capacity drops about 10% after no more than 100 cycles.
My iPad Pro 10.5 has at 7450mAh left at 37 cycles (93.5% if I trust the 7966mAh total, or 91.6% if the total is 8134mAh according to the battery label). I will just take it to a Store when it's below 80%.
Apple also promised that iOS 11.3 will show information about battery health. We shall see how it goes.
