So here in the Philippines, there are the so-called "authorized" stores such as the PowerMac Center.
Special Note: They ship the phone to Singapore's Apple Store after doing a local diagnostic test for repairs etc.
Me and my wife inquired to have our iPhone (old SE2020) battery replaced.
They told us that they need to do a factory reset alongside the battery replacement.
Is that a norm in the U.S. when doing a battery change, say... directly in the Apple store there?
Do you people get your iPhones reset just to have your batteries changed?
I'm curious because why the need to reset?!
I'm on 15 Pro now and damn, I don't want to do a factory reset just to have them replace my battery.
Edit:
I forgot to add... They have 3-4 weeks turn-around time before they return your phone to you. (store not offering spare phone or whatever)
