I just updraded from a 6s to an 8+. Can someone enlighten about preserving battery capacity? because I don't want it to happen like on my 6s. I usually charge my phone whenever I can like for example even when my percentage is about 90%, I still charge it all the way to 100%. Is that bad at all? My battery capacity just dropped 2% in just 2 months.

Charge when you want is really the only realistic tip there is. You mainly just want to avoid extremes in terms of temperature--the phone getting too hot or too cold.

My iPhone X stays on a wireless charger at work and at home unless I am actively using it or I am driving
And it charges overnight as well

I know some will be horrified, but my phone rarely falls below 90% charge
and yet, I just checked, 99% capacity after a year and half
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would say, just charge when it needs it, when you have opportunity, overnight or any other time
and don't be overly concerned about it
*and stop looking at the battery percentage every 10 minutes :)
It makes life far more relaxed and stress free
