Battery Doctor: What the heck?

I was looking at battery usage in Battery Doctor and came across a process that was displaying in Chinese. I did a Google Translate on it and it translates to "I send the party - love news vein 0"

Does anyone know what the heck this is? See screenshot

Is your phone jailbroken, or unofficially unlocked, second handed, cracked for illegal free apps?
If yes, you may need to be concerned.
If not, it is just the web/app of ipadown.com

It's not jailbroken, cracked, hacked or anything of that nature. I even did a DFU restore recently.
 
It isn't Battery Doctor's name in Chinese. Again it's the Chinese name of ipadown.com. It translates to: ipadown - iNews

Are you telling me Google translate is completely wrong on the translation? If what you are saying is correct why is it even listed here? I've never been to that website.

Of course it's completely wrong lol. It's very usual. Do you know a second language? Even if you don't, try some seldomly-seen brand name or app name on it that isn't a dictionary word.

I took a screenshot of what I posted above and ran it through Google Translate for Chinese > English and highlighted the chinese text and it translated to I send the party - love news vein 0
 
I dropped that app and went with Battery Watch a couple of years ago - no bloat - I even paid for the pro upgrade. That's my recommendation :)
 
The first character is "I", which is self explanatory. The first Chinese character you see does mean "to send", but in this case it's used for its pronunciation - "pie". The next Chinese character means "party" as in a political party, and in this case is used for its pronunciation again, like "down". The whole phrase, again, is the Chinese name of the website ipadown.com.

Then the first Chinese character on the next bit means "love", but its pronunciation is the English alphabet "I", so again, used for its pronunciation. Then the last two Chinese words together means "news". Simple as that.

Don't trust google translate on anything you don't know anything about. It's good as a crutch, but can't be trusted.

Isn't that list just eye candy and not really what's running on your phone? Recent versions of iOS don't allow apps to get a list of running processes. Think this was discussed before.

Nor are third party apps supposed to be allowed to know about or do anything with app caches from other apps or the system, as I recall, so it's still not really clear how Battery Doctor can do anything of what it claims it is able to do (as far as clearing caches and temporary files from the system or other apps).

Thanks for the translation. I appreciate it. The Google results made it seem like malware lol
