Hello Gents,

So yesterday I was chilling with my MBP till about 5 pm where I close the lid of my Mac and do other stuff. Several hours later, I was shocked to find out that my Mac is warm and the battery was drained by around 20%. Activity monitor suggests that the culprit was Turbo Boost Switcher Pro, but then again I have no idea why because the app is supposed to save my battery life instead of draining it faster. Fast forward, I charged my Mac to about 80% battery and closed the lid before I went to sleep, to collect some more data.

This morning, I found out that I've lost another 20%-ish battery overnight, where normally it usually dropped by 3-4%. After some extensive browsing, I decided to investigate the wake up log by inserting this command % log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason".

Unsurprisingly, since this strange occurrence happened and drained my battery in sleep mode (closed lid) which was November 7th , there is this wake reason EC.ARPT(Maintenance) that occurred every minute whenever my MBP sleeps. One segment of the log goes like this :

2020-11-07 22:56:49.002207+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleTopCaseHIDEventDriver) [HID] [ATC] AppleDeviceManagementHIDEventService::processWakeReason Wake reason: Host (0x01)

2020-11-07 22:57:42.106325+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) AppleACPIPlatformPower Wake reason: EC.ARPT (Maintenance)

2020-11-07 22:58:12.805895+0700 localhost corespeechd[420]: [com.apple.corespeech:Framework] -[CSHostDaemonMac _getPowerAssertionIfWakenByVoiceTriggerNotFromS3Sleep] Wake reason is not VoiceTrigger or it woke from S3

I attached the text file from terminal in case any of you wants to analyse what happened. If you take a look closely, since 5.57 pm on November 7th this thing was logged non stop, whereas previously there were nothing like this.

I am a new MacOS user, and certainly not an IT expert. Kindly help me with this issue, because it is driving me crazy.

Thank you very much.
