Hey, just got the new mba and my battery drains very fast when the lid is closed.

in 8 hours I lost 50% battery power with closed lid. Is this normal?

i performed SmC and PRam reset already.
thx

Try turning off Wifi and bluetooth in the system preferences before putting your mac to sleep and see does that fix it.

It could still be indexing, etc. as part of initial setup (the machine will do some background tasks whilst "asleep" - I'm not sure if initial setup will be included in that because stuff like iCloud downloads, etc. normally are). Photo analysis for example happens when the machine is idle. I'd give it a few days to complete that before freaking out about it (but definitely be concerned if it continues for more than a few days! :D).
