I primarily use my IPP as a second display to watch media while working at my desk. I pulled up a Twitch stream in Safari to see how long the battery would last from a full charge. I wanted to simulate my real world use conditions so here were the details:
Environment - my office has a little sun but the test went from dawn to dusk so with auto brightness it was between 30-60% the whole time.
Accessories - it’s on a MKB but it wasn’t being used so very little drain from the backlight. At least there wasn’t any phantom drain which happened when the original MKB was released.
Apps - you can see from the screenshot what was being used. I watch Twitch in Safari but I have Twitch set to dark mode the entire time.
As you can see I got approx 12hr 30min just running Twitch in Safari on dark mode. Obviously it’s not a day in the life but I know with my miniLED/LCD iPads that wasn’t even possible as most maxed out at 10hrs if you were lucky.
