While sleeping, my MB battery drains about 1% per hour. I left it unplugged but sleeping for just over a day and the charge went from 100% to 70% in just that period of time. Is that normal?

Also, my MB is 15 months old and the battery capacity (according to Coconut) is 86%. Is that about average for a machine this age?

Thanks

AFAIamconcerned, yes to both questions.

And the lowered battery life means that it will appear that power is drained more quickly.

1% per hour sounds just about right based on my experience with a number of laptops, as well.

The remaining battery capacity will vary wildly based on how you use your computer--that is, plugged in most of the time versus a couple of charge-discharge cycles a day if you're a road warrior. But 86% for 15 months sounds totally normal to me.
