What is this non-sense!? Battery has been fine up until this morning. I unplugged the phone from the charger around 7:30am, it is now 12:09pm and I'm at 19% battery.

Going to try and calibrate it and see what happens.

Been listening to music for about four hours.

sounds about normal to me...4 hours of listening to music...thats alot...

dont go by percentage terms when the battery drains...seeing the number makes you go crazy and think your battery is dying quicker than others even though its not...

Consider this:

On Tuesday I listened to music for about 7 hours. Random web surfing, texting, facebook, app store checks, emails, etc with the same settings as above. After being at work for about nine hours I came home with a battery around 60%.

um 4 hours of music is definitely NOT a lot.

I'm having issues today as well. I charge my iphone every night. Woke up, did my usual checking of email, reading emails, safari usage, manifesto rss, facebook, twitter....nothing out of the ordinary. I then noticed my battery level at 60%....40% down in about an hour.

Rebooted the phone. Charged it up to 85%. Driving to work, made a few phone calls and it was down to 72%. Then it started going back slowly to 77%. Checked it a few minutes later and it was at 93%!!! Had about a 40minute meeting where I was not using the Iphone at all. Went back to my car and it dropped down to 53%. It just keeps going up and down.

I am running 3.0.1 with JB. The only thing I've done in the past 24 hours is purchase the Apple AV Composite cable which includes a USB adapter that can be plugged in a power source. I had a USB car charger from my BB days and I plugged into that so that it can charge. It was not charging at all.

So not sure if something happened from that or if I just need to restore and re-JB or if battery needs to be replaced.

I got down to 11% before I put it on a charger. I'm on 3.0.1 no jailbreak.

After I charged it to around 67% it has been fine so far. Dunno what happened lol.

Sometimes it's just a rogue App that takes over.
Powering down the phone and sometimes a restore fixes it.
Glad your back in working order.:)
