I'm a 15 year old programmer and had a good idea for an app. I've browsed the App Store many times and never found a battery gauge. Like how many cycles were used, battery health, etc. Basically the same info you'd find under System Profiler in the Power section. Is this possible? I'd imagine it to be pretty useful. But I have no idea how to retrieve the information (cycles, health, etc). Any one know how?

Is it a violation of the rules? Ok, thanks. To Mods, you can close this thread.

Not as such, just that there's no Apple sanctioned way to get that information. It may be available in some hidden API but you'd have to call methods that Apple have deemed 'private'. That's a big no-no.
