Has anyone noticed that the new Apple produsct since the iPhone 12 release, the battery health is draining much faster! For example: I had 11 pro max in use for one whole year and the battery health was 96 % after one year! And my 12 Pro Max in one year has 86%...IS IT MAYBE THE FAST CHARGER?

My Macbook Air M1 also....has 39 charge cycles and already at 96% health....
IS THIS NORMAL?

I've been treating my 12 mini with 25-80% charging habit and mostly use 5 watt wired charger only. It's now at 90% battery health for less than a year. Few people I know also experiencing the same thing, with or without fast charging or magsafe. Doesn't seems to matter.

My personal take will be the powerful SoC along with very compact body on the 12 mini generates more heat overtime. But turns out many other 12 series owner also experiencing the same issue.
I haven't check my 2020 iPad Pro 11" battery health, but I won't bother because I treat it quite rough in the past 16 months.

Eager to hear from others.

My launch day 12 PM is currently at 99% health at 256 charge cycles. Pretty normal battery degradation IMO since I’ve enjoyed exactly 1 year of use at 100% health with morderate to heavy use

My 12 mini health drained like crazy and I know others did. After a year it was 84%, and every other iphone I had before that time was at like 96-97%.

Cheaper cells used.

Yeah, I've tried with the 5 watt charger and the 20w fast charger too. 40-80% charge with optimization charge on.

All the battery tendering did nothing and I'm already at 94%. Honestly, I'm about to just forget about it and use the phone and charge it when I want. Or fast charge it to 100% when I think I'm going to need full juice. What a waste of time lol

If everyone has the problem then its design. Cheaper cells, heat, more charge cycles because the battery wasn't properly matched to the rest of the device. Most should report similar stats.

Could also be bad cells. I don't care how tight you run things some units are going to get a bad cell here and there. If reporting of this issue is sporadic that would be my guess unless your usage pattern is causing it.

When I traded in my 12 mini on 13 mini launch date, its battery health was 99%. I had the 12 mini since its launch.

FWIW, I kept mine charged 20-80% using 1.5W charger.

Generally, if you drain your battery or charge it past 80% or quick charge it, it will degrade faster.
