Battery Health dropped from 100% to 72% in one day?

Was it exposed to any extreme weather conditions? Physical damage? Power surges? Anything?
If it just happened totally out of the blue while not doing anything out of the ordinary, then perhaps it is a freak thing and should be replaced.

No extreme weather or power surges at all. I'm very careful with it.
It's gone down almost another 10% now...

Calibrate. If it doesn;t fix it then it's a dud.
My battery health was 97% from the factory, and went up to 100% after 1 week of use.
It appears that your health seems to depend on how quickly you drain the battery.
If you put it at the dimmest brightness, and do nothing and just let the mbp drain for the entire day slowly, and then plug in and let it re-charge overnight, it should help your health.

Shrug. It's probably just the inherent error in reporting battery capacity that all such programs have to deal with.
