Hey guys, I took delivery of my new 15" Santa Rosa MPB yesterday. I have Istat Pro on it installed and I have noticed that the battery health on it says 97%, as we know it is a new battery so shouldnt it be at 100%?
make sure you calibrate right.
Do it while you sleep...you need to rest the computer (while its in sleep, battery drained) for at least 5 hours before charging.
after the battery reaches 100% it will receive a trickle charge until it reaches 95.
I dont think they will give you another one. They have a policy about batteries. Something like if your battery doesn't hold more than around 50%, they will send you a new one. Otherwise...istat says my new mbp is at 98% and i am going to call apple to see about getting a new battery.

My battery time is a little screwy on my new MBP 17'' too. Coming out of sleep it said I had four hours, then it jumped down to 2 hours. I plugged in the adapter and at 75% it said I only had 47 minutes remaining. Now I'm at 74% with 1 hour 57 minutes

Question though guys...
Before i calibrated my battery as apple describes, istat pro and Coconut Battery said my battery health was at 100 %
After the calibration they both now show the health at 96%......
I just had this thing for one week. I can understand that maybe my battery was at 96 the whole time and i had to calibrate it to get the proper reading, but i hope that by calibrating it wasn't the cause of this 4% health loss.
Any comments?
