Been checking for the past week and get the same result just dashes. Contacted Apple support they said restart the phone. Hasn't worked. Here is the picture to describe what I'm talking about:

Anyone have any experience with this issue?

I charge my phone every night and noticed this early last week. I do use wireless charging and do get to 100% charge when I'm up in the morning.

Typically you don’t get a usage calculation if the phone hasn’t been charged fully first. Have you done so?

Also, if you do anything related to updating/rebooting/resetting, the usage timers will display that bar. Just something to keep in mind!

Yes I've fully charged the phone, I just did a force restart after talking to Apple support so obviously it won't show up now.

Does this include updating apps? I usually do that after work when I'm on wifi however during the day I still show the dashes.

Its possible your springboard is crashing, which lines out battery stats. Try charging it to 100%, go to the battery page and leave your display on and watch it. See if it goes up or lines out.

Might be on to something, as soon as I took the phone off the charger this morning I had the phone on for 5 minutes straight checked the usage and it did appear. However later in the day when I checked it was back to dashes.

I did my phone transfer thru iCloud when I upgraded if that's relevant.

@Mlrollin91 may definitely be up to something there. I’d follow his diagnostic steps and note the results.

To your other question, updating apps would not cause the statistics to line out. However, as is no surprise, a system update would so.

Yeah, just charge it back up. Turn your display auto-lock to enter and leave it on the battery page. See if it maintains the time or lines out. If it doesn't line out while watching it for 20-30 minutes, then its probably springboard crashing on its own in the background.

Alright I will do this. If it ends up being the springboard crashing is there any fix? Or SOL? I get great battery life it's just the OCD in me this drives me nuts.

Probably restoring the device as new. If springboard keeps crashing, there could an iOS install issue. What version are you running? There will also be an update on Wednesday for iOS 11.0.3. Maybe try doing a full installer via iTunes for the update. It will completely rewrite iOS and may prevent you needing to restore. OTA won't rewrite iOS.

Currently on 11.0.2 can't recall of I had the issue when I first got the phone.

Definitely try installing iOS 11.0.3 on Wednesday via iTunes if the issue remains after your test.

Here we are this morning..
So far looks good. All I did was the "new force restart" as Apple instructed. (Quick Vol up release, quick Vol down release, hold side button).

With a wireless charger now at my hands I do recall waking up several mornings before alarm and placing the phone back on the wireless pad, if at any time after a full charge you add another power source to the phone without bringing it to 100% will that cause the dashes?

Anyways so far I'm ok, will check again this evening.

Seems all is well now, thanks guys for you're tips advice, still plan to load 11.0.3 via iTunes.
