Hey everyone,

I have recently booted MacOS to give it a try after Arch (which I was running on the same MacBook Pro hardware)

However, I am very sad about battery life. 1.5 hours, seriously? Am I doing something wrong? I get around 8 hours with light usage and browsing on Arch with tlp. I thought that surely MacOS would be much better optimized.

Is there something I can do to increase battery life?

The condition of my battery is "normal", cycle count is 1120.

Cycle count is 1000 , so you already exceeded that and still getting 1,5 hours is not bad at all IMO.
You could consider replacing the battery.

Thank you, how many hours can I be expecting to get with a new battery?
