I've read the battery on your Macbook 2015 runs down faster after installation of the GM. I am often away from a charger and need max battery life. Is this true?

Any other issues?

My late 2013 MBP gets horrible battery life since going to El Cap. I figured it was just the fact that it was beta software and to be expected. Now that it's on the GM, it's no better. I get 2-2.5 hours or so. Used to be able to get through the good part of a day without a cord; now I need to connect for a single meeting.

I got about 2 hours of use processing some photos and surfing the web on a Macbook 12. I would say I am normally at 60 percent after an hour or two of use. I was down to 16%. I have never run down this much during the day. I am surprised. Hope it's my imagination but two hours is not good. I processed about 40 raw images.

Huge battery drain with the GM Candidate. MBPr Mid 2014, fully charged, it indicates 4.5 hours with just Safari opened, and I cannot stay for more than 4 hours away from the power, 2 hours if I just open Parallels. It was from 6 to 10 hours in these condition with Yosemite.
Restarting the Mac does not solve the problem.

Similar situation here. Used to get a solid 9-10 hours with light use, and about 6-7 hours with heavy use on my MBP 13 (late 2013) on Yosemite, then stats dropped to like 4-5 hours on the El Cap betas. With GM, there seems to an improvement, but its erratic. E.g. Yesterday, at around 50% battery, it said 2:20 remaining. Today, after recharging, at 50% it says 6:25 remaining (both similar days usage was similar - mainly reading documents, and some web browsing).

CPU Idle for the 90 to 97%. The rest was used by some services ad Box Sync, Dropbox, Safari, Excel...

I did reset the SMC today but nothing happened. Still a ridiculous battery life (less than 4 hours) compared to Yosemite, without any noticeable improvement in speed! Time to downgrade this weekend then. After 15 years of Mac, this is the first release I got massive troubles with... :-|

Weird. I'm getting a solid 7 on my 2011 13" with over 400 cycles on the battery.

Let's face it.... The GM is no better than the betas. It's gonna be 10.11.5 till we get back to a reliability and performance level on par with the first release of Yosemite.

Battery estimation is just an estimation. Yeah, it was showing 5 hours here at 100%. Two and half hours later I am at 70% and it shows 7 hours left. Most likely your battery statistics was reset and the system needs some time to learn from the data again.

I do not think so. I cannot arrive from 9:00 to 14:00 with a light usage. :-|
