My wife and I both got Apple Watches at the same time. My battery is completly flat (10%) in hours whole hers is still at 60%+. She seems to use hers more than I do. My iPhone 6 battery now seems to go on for several day however. I have tried a reset, reinstall from backup repair and as yet no improvement. This is what apple support suggested. Have I got anything switched on inadvertently or a mad power consuming app munching all my power secretly in the background? Anyone got any ideas?

If you recently purchased your Apple watch you can request a battery replacement within your one year warranty. If you have Apple care+, then you have two years. Out of warranty battery replacement is $79

I would have assumed a fast draining battery would have been fixed by shutting off the watch and then turning back on as that seems to fix a battery drain for others. I've had a few instances where my battery was dropping rapidly and I would shut it off and back on and charge the watch and the problem went away.

Another thing to check when the battery drains fast is to look at the usage on the iPhone Watch App. If you have many hours of usage even though you haven't used the watch, that is probably the cause of your battery drain. Best to try and remove some questionable third party apps (or all third party apps) and slowly add back in to see if the problem goes away.

Google search aw battery saving tips. I hard reset mine and did a few and mine lasts about 3 days moderate usage.

Thanks formal the kind folks that have responded to this - The nice lady from Apple support said it was probably 'buggered' and that I need to take it back to get new one. Unfortunately its ages till I can get an appointment with a genius to sort this out. Oh well - I ca at least keep charging it up 2x each day till then.

You can return it via post just as quick as waiting for an appointment, waiting for a replacement and then collecting the new watch....
