Yes there have been many online reports of the 14 Pro’s battery health declining significantly compared to other iPhones as of late. I think it’s a mix of either poor battery or chipset with the 14’s and iOS 16. Again, many online reports of terrible battery life and phone heating (MR has a dedicated thread to iOS 16 battery issues).
I’m glad that your’s doesn’t have the issue. I’d imagine it’s similar to the 15 models this year that are overheating, that it’s a small percentage
Thing is, I’m unsure that this specific aspect is poor. People mention health but they do not mention cycles. 94% in, say, 8 months might not sound too appealing, but if the user puts in 1.5 cycles a day, then that’s 94% after 360 cycles, which sounds okay. Even if it were 91 or 92%, that percentage after those cycles sounds okay, even if the timeframe is rather low. So I’m not entirely sure that there’s an issue with battery health on the iPhone 14 series. Not without seeing cycles. Battery health is half the information.
Yes that’s very true, that’s why I also mentioned the chipset and iOS. Both unoptimized, generating more heat, and burning through the battery would require more recharging -> more wear on the battery
