Something happened yesterday and now the % of battery live wont change unless I go into the bar menu turn off % and then turn it back on, then it updates to the new % and stays that % until I manually reupdate, any ideas what I can do? Thanks
Ok, you need to tell us more than that. At what charge percentage was it when you plugged it in? If it was 95% or above, it won't charge anymore (ie, if it was at 96%, and then you put it on AC, it won't charge, however, if it was at 90%, it will charge back up to 100%).
I already know about the 95% thing, it was at 26% when i unplugged, then it went to 25% then didn't move and it just ran out of batteries randomly, now no matter the percentage, the icon doesn't change, and doesn't even show if it's charged or anything

Hmmm...have you calibrated the battery recently? Try this and tell me how it goes.
If the battery calibration does help, then I'm guessing that was the problem. However, I don't think it will help. I think you have a more complex issue. Still, try the battery calibration (just humor me) and then it's time to call Apple.
I have had a sudden change in my battery charging ability. It worked fine on a recent trip and when I returned I left it on my desktop uncharged for a couple of days, then plugged it in. This morning I tried to use it and the computer died when I unplugged it.My battery won't charge! I press the battery button on the battery and nothing. I've removed the battery, cleaned the contacts and reinstalled without success. The adapter light goes to amber for about five minutes then to green all the while the percentage (of battery life) stays at 0%. Even when I remove the battery the charge light stays green. I've tried zapping the PRAM and resetting the PMU (mac 10.3.9 - 15" powerbook G4) again without success. Do I need to get a new battery? Thanks....
