So I have reading comments online saying that people do not want to spend $250 on disposable earphones, and that the battery will eventually die and leave these airpods useless. I feel that is a bit

The question is, what is the typical lifespan on these APP? I am hoping to get at least 2-3 years of usage before I see the battery losing its ability to hold a charge.

I appreciate them giving their specific usage case, because that’s crucial in this discussion.

I don’t use mine nearly as much, I may go a week without using them more than an hour or two total, and at other times, will use them for a couple of hours five or so days week.

Because of how I use mine, I expect the battery to be fine for a good 3+ years. That definitely makes them worth it to me.

Good thing Apple finally provides AC+ for its AirPods Pro. I guess with the usage mentioned a 25% dip in battery life after 1.5 year seems plausible.
