My shuffle won't run out of juice! not a complaint btw. I've been listening to it every chance i get for the last week and a half and you press the button on the back and its still green. i've only synced up a couple times for only 3-4 minutes at a time so i don't think its charged that much. i've probably used it for 7-8 hours...good stuff. i'm happy.

the rated battery life is 12 hours, so your havent reached the end just yet, but i have heard some people on these boards going over the 12 hours that apple advertises, good news imo, mine does great with battery life too

yeah...i know its normal, its just awesome lol. the lyra i had ran on one AAA and it got probably about 8 hours on a battery. but i'm still surprised the light hasn't gone to the orange half way gone light.

my new iPod mini has an exceptional battery life as well, this was the one area that i really wanted apple to improve in and they have followed through, i think i have charged the mini twice in the two weeks i have had it, and it gets daily use

I saw a review (can't remember or find it now) that said the Shuffle lasted around 16 1/2 hours - I can believe them too! leave it in your pocket for weeks and it'll still turn on and chuck out tunes - great for an emergency backup on long journeys, when you simply must have music!

My Shuffle lasts nearly 16 hours (15 hours, 45 minutes, to be exact). I can use it for weeks without having to recharge it, so I just love it!

James Philp, two things:

1. Work on the spelling,
2. Love the signature. :D That's from Pinky and the Brain, right? Classic.

And back on topic:
I get quite a while out of a single charge on my 4G but it kinda depends what I'm using it for. If you even mention iTrip it pretty much goes flat straight away. :(

But I suppose that's something Shuffle owners really don't have to worry about. ;)
