Battery Life in sleep mode

How long will the average MBP 15" battery run when in 'Sleep'. Iknow its a long time but i need something exact. Also does your macbook go to sleep by just closing the book.

can't answer your question to the tee, but i can tell you that if i leave my 15" CD MBP on sleep overnight (about 8 hours) the battery goes down around 5 or 6%.

if you close the lid, the computer will sleep.
