Battery life iphone 6s vs 7 on ios10

Anyone notice battery life a lot worse on the 6s? Yes I know the 7 is newer and has a better battery but the 6s had good battery life on ios9 and it went bad since ios10. Meanwhile iphone 7 battery life is fantastic. Iphone 7 gets almost twice the battery of the 6s on ios10 and I know this isn't normal, because 6s had similar battery life to the iphone 7 while it was on ios9.

Edit: Downgraded to 9.3.5 and the issue is fixed! I recommend you do the same while it's still being signed if you have a similar problem!

Wow, and I thought it was just me. Ever since installing IOS 10, battery life on both my 6s and iPad Air 2 has gotten worse. I rechecked all my settings, and they were at minimum for battery drain, but I see a significant difference in battery life from IOS 9. I guess the trade off is I like many of the improvements with the upgrade, but sure hate to see the step backwards in battery life. For the record, I am not implying that any of this is Apple forcing me to upgrade, just making a point that I do see battery life decreased by the upgrade.

Maybe it is indexing new files? Maybe it is still buggy on older devices?

Anyway, some comments on this forum are laughable, and all from the usual suspects. If someone has any suspicion that Apple is playing dirty games, and keep buying new Apple devices, you actually deserve it.

Don't update on day one if issues like this are that important. No one is forcing anyone to anything.

Some users here also have poor understanding of reality and mathematics. Just because someone on a specific forum has the same issues as you, it doesn't mean that it is actually remotely relevant to what is going on on the poll of 1 billion iOS devices.

No difference here. My battery lasts the same as iOS 9.3.5.

I tried restoring from itunes and mutiple factory resets and nothing helped so then as a last resort I decided to downgrade to 9.3.5 while it was still being signed by Apple, and whoila my battery issues are fixed! Sure will be missing out on the message feature of ios10 but it's worth it for the tradeoff of normal battery life.

On 10.0.2 there is no practical difference in battery life to 9.3.5 on 6s.

I had zero battery difference between my 6s on 9.3.4 and iOS 10 beta 8, and 10.0.1. Beta 6/7 had battery battery life, but the final release was exactly the same as iOS 9.

iOS 10 first release definitely hosed a lot of people's battery life. Not everyone though.
