Sorry if this had been asked before, but how's the battery life (in "normal" use--wifi and surfing)of the new SR MBP when running XP via Bootcamp and via parallels?

I think the battery life with OSX is just about 4 hours(Correct me if i am wrong), so would bootcamp be 3ish:confused:

Thanks in advance peeps:p

Windows XP tends to keep everything running at full steam even though it may not be needed (hence why your MBP might be hotter when running Boot Camp). I'd say about 2-3 hours on Boot Camp, but it really depends what you are doing (if the fans are needed to cool it down) and how bright you have your screen.

Running OSX and Parallels has a big impact on battery life - the CPU will be at full steam while using a lot of RAM, and generally the fans will be running at a lot higher RPM. Maybe up to 3 hours.

It really depends on the brightness of the screen - that is the main battery killer. Although the screens are LED backlit now (so are more power consumption friendly) they still do take out a fair bit of power.

I found that I get about 2.5 - 3 hours when running parallels, listening to iTunes and surfing on Youtube at the same time.
