normally my iphone 3g would last 3days or at least 2days for average use. as of 2days ago, my phone has died 3 times. i had my phone fully charged last night and was died when i woke up.

here is what i got for my settings;
wifi is on-
brightness is mid and display turns off in 1min-
bluetooth is off-
3g is turned on-
push is off-
fetch is set to manual-

is anyone else having this problem? and does anyone know how to fix this? remember i am running 3.0 beta and this is a new phone so the battery is good.

no, there's something wrong, try going to general>usage and check out the time whenever you see something wrong with the battery, you probably have some apps crashing on you, like iPod,youtube or safari..

this is what its saying;

I was having the same problems.

It went away after I removed all 3rd party apps. Some of them may seem like they are working fine but are not compatible with 3.0.

I am now testing battery .vs apps and settings. Each session is 12 hours overnight so that I get an accurate test instead of when I am using the iPhone during the day doing different things.

I am posting results and reviews here. The results are all in the first entry so you do not need to read the whole thread.

that actually worked for me. i deleted myspace, facebook, and aim, along with a few i never use. before trying this i went from 100% battery to 56% in only 30mins, then i deleted 10mins later where i had 49% and now about 5 or 6hrs later, im at 47%.

i got the actual percent from free memory. free memory seemed to always say low on memory too (3mb+/-) even when id tell it to free memory. i deleted and then checked and it said 45mb, so i restarted and now wants to say 25-30mb all the time.

so i have my battery back to normal and a fast system again:D

Uhm, hmmm, (scratch's head)...(rub's chin)...I just can't seem to recall every single one of my posts but I am pretty sure that I have never, never, ever stated that I was a developer although I could be wrong:confused:

However, I have and continue to be a beta for 5 different developers and testing apps with 3.0 and some that I test for use my PC to validate their desktop software that works with their apps. Also the words "Apple Seed" may mean something to you and if not, i am sorry to say that I can't say more.

Sooooo, not that its any of your business in the first place, but I decided to answer your post so that you didn't wander through life with this terrible cancer that a terrible PC owner could invade your precious tunnel visioned, one track mind, fanboy attitude that a PC user is helping develop and test Apple product and Apps :rolleyes: Get over yourself and you will be OK.

KK, understand and accept. I was just trying to answer your question and I sometimes get tired of the PC comments when I do not criticize other OS users. I feel we all like what we use and use what we like. Each has its faults and plus's and I have always helped ALL computer users in MR.

I am glad you have your battery life back. I have found one app that is a complete battery drainer and sadly it is the Google Mobile App. Once logged into your account it is running in the background and drained my battery 3 times in one day. Since removal i am using only 15% of my battery in a 10-12 hour period. I can not inform Google of this because they do not have an email for their app and everything just points to their forum. I do not want to post on another forum about being a 3.0 beta because the questions will be non stop. I guess Google will have to figure it out on their own.

Again, I accept your response and still willing to help out if needed.
